Driffield Northfield Infant School

Outdoor Learning

Our school is set in extensive open grounds, which provides lots of opportunities for children to get active and learn outdoors.  Not only do teachers plan lots of opportunities to learn outside as part of the everyday curriculum, but classes have opportunities to take part in gardening and forest school activities each week.  During these sessions Mrs Eling (Governor), Miss Major (Caretaker) and Mr Hog (Cleaner), work alongside teachers and teaching staff to teach pupils all about growing their own plants, fruits and vegetables, as well as learning to look after and explore the natural environment around us.
